Use Guidelines

Share the organic you. That you that doesn’t hold back but at the same time remains respectful. Being natural and direct has powerful (ripple) effects for yourself, those around you, and the world. By nature, this way of lighf/life is also healthier for all of us. Do a few minutes of research yourself and you’ll discover it for yourself. Being candid with ourselves and others can make us feel a little more at ease. It can save us time, cutting through the “fluff” (or bs), that many of us experience. Most importantly, open, free-flowing organic conversations, sharing, and communication helps us build more of the lighf connections we are truly looking for and desire, more effectively/efficiently/genuinely). How many times has a person told you something that turned out to be untrue and ends up effecting your relationship in some way? Share your experiences in lighf.

Perhaps… let’s focus more on the real parts of our daily internal and interpersonal lighf interactions and dialogue. Let’s focus on being ‘straight shooters.’. Let’s evolve together as a world, going further, faster through open, free-flowing, organic lighf conversations, sharing, and communications, and sharing. It’s not like we have forever here.

Relate genuinely. Relating just to relate will have serve no real benefit to you or anyone else living lighf.

Everyone has the right to think, talk, and act freely. As much as you may disagree with another person’s view point, be human, work to understand their unique perspective, and interact politely. It’s okay to agree to disagree. That happens.. in.. lighf. Just walk away from the conversation and focus on positively adding to another instead. No reason to ever bully, harass, subvert, or try to suppress anyone from being their true selves and expressing themselves organically. If we all respect all of our veiw posints more often, regardless of how crazy or incredutlous it sounds.

Everyone has the right to privacy. Even public figures. lighf is anonymous by default to ensure the most fundamentally safe and private experience(x)^sm. To help keep things private and safe for everyone, please do not share your real name or any publicly identifiable personal details about you or anyone else. This includes not sharing images of any peoples’ faces. Should the opportunity present itself to share your real name or the real name of another person, don’t share it. Once you’ve evolved and gained the ability to do so, then you may begin to share more about who you are, once you have established some shows of trust. While public figures are okay to name, malicious use of a public figure’s name and/or likeness will result in an indefinite pause of your lighf and other possible outcomes.

A quick lighfTip on how to keep lighf, yourself and others safe with lighf language. For example, refer to people you’ve met or otherwise interacted with online (or on the street) as “someone,” “a person,” “they,” “this human,” etc. If you want to talk about your current relationship instead of saying “girlfriend/boyfriend/other”, you could say, “significant other,” or, if married, “spouse.” You can also use new, creative ways to refer to other people, just as long as they do not identify anyone and get the point across. No need to get specific, unless what you are sharing is already public knowledge. If you do happen to get specific when sharing a lighfStory or other lighf content, whatever shared may be adjusted for accuracy or pushed out of view of the Waterfall by lighf.

If you see something, say something. Help improve the quality of lighf for all by reporting and flagging lighfStories and other pieces of lighf that you feel require L’s attention. To flag a lighfStory or other piece of lighf for review, Swipe Left on it in the Waterfall (feed) or Tap the More Options icon on a lighfStory’s screen to reveal flagging and reporting options.

Respect everyone’s right to intellectual property
lighf does its best to monitor potential intellectual property issues. Help L correct copyright issues by Tapping the More Options icon  on a feed item or within a lighfStory or other piece of lighf to reveal additional options including reporting potential Copyright issues. Some things that you Float into lighf may have some intellectual property rights. If you have a question about something related to intellectual property, please send lighf an SOS.  ;If you are sharing a live dj mix, you must first provide all of the track’s credits, including listing all of the entities involved in creating the track, e.g. artists, writers, production companies, music labels, and others that worked on each work of art. </span>;

Non-lighf Behavior
lighf respects and believes in everyone and only desires to work to create happiness and togetherness throughout the world. If you’re upset at lighf or someone else and need to talk about it, please respect lighf enough to talk first before taking any actions that go against the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein. If there is something you want, just ask. Let’s talk, find common ground, and get you what you need to work towards a peaceful solution. Anything can be worked out with the proper human perspective, empathy, time, and care. With that said though, lighf reserves the right to exert all available options, and do what is necessary to protect the people within lighf. This may include pausing or removing lighf Accounts. If you’d like to talk about something that’s bothering you currently, or in general that’s making you not act like yourself, please reach out with an SOS before doing something you might regret. Impersonation. Only genuine lighf Accounts, por favor. If you would like to request explicit permissions to create a Parody account, please send lighf an SOS.

Enjoy what’s around you. It’s important that you go outside and enjoy the world around you. Travel and meet as many people as much as possible. Explore the universe. Share those evolving lighfStories and experiences when you get back. The World is waiting to hear about them.

lighf’s Anonymous
lighf requires all users to be anonymous at all times. Required anonymity is unique to lighf. It provides, from the very start, a fundamentally more private, and secure setting for everyone to feel more comfortable and enjoy a less-invasive social experience(x)^sm than available in other places already familiar to you.

Your Account, Password, Phishing, Staying Safe & Alert
Passwords are key to ensuring no one accesses your account without your knowledge. Never share your password, username or any other account information with anyone. RE: Phishing: lighf will never send you an email, text, or other message requesting your email address, password or any other information. The only exception is during account creation and password reset when you will receive automated messages from lighf regarding your password and/or further instructions. Anytime you receive an email from lighf or another provider, double check to make sure that the sender is in fact from an official address (e.g. lighf.com) that you are familiar with, and trust. Never share or transfer ownership of your account to any other party. The only exception is if you have a lighf Business account. In this case, you will need to send lighf an SOS to request.

Your lighfName
All lighfNames and accounts are anonymous by default to fundamentally provide a more private, safer user experience. lighf nor anyone else needs to know your real name or any other publicly identifiable personal details about you or anyone else to deliver its experience. Keep your lighfName and other information about you, your family and life private. Don’t share those details with anyone until a certain level of trust is built. lighf helps you build this.

Safely Accessing lighf. The steps you take effect everyone!
Always be observant and aware of your surroundings when stepping (logging) into lighf. Always step out (log out) before leaving your computer or mobile device unattended. This helps ensure that you and all of lighf is secure. Remember it takes all of us to make something work and keeping lighf safe and secure is no different. Furthermore, lighf requires that all users access lighf through a secured wi-fi/bluetooth/other connection. Ideally everyone should be stepping (logging) into lighf to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to reach lighf. If you have a question about VPNs or how to set one up, please send lighf an SOS for assistance.

Anonymized Anonymous Data (and Improving lighf for All)
lighf does not rely on, or need to know, where you’re from or what you do. lighf does not require publicly identifiable personal details about you to deliver you its experience. As with everything in lighf, ultimately what you share, and how you live lighf is up to you.

By agreeing to lighf’s Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, you have agreed to give lighf some permissions to handle your anonymous data responsibly. Here are the ways your anonymous data is being responsibly handled. If you have any objections please send lighf an SOS to discuss.

Your Anonymous Data
Even though everything is anonymous ,by default, lighf thought it was important to give you total control over your own data. If you’d like to manage your lighf Data, please jump (log) into lighf from a web browser (not the iOS app) and visit your Settings screen. Then Tap the Data Options tab. There, you will find various options for managing your data including removing parts or all of your lighf. If you’re on the website (not iOS app) right now,, you can simply Tap: data management options.

1. lighf does not collect any personally identifiable information about you. lighf only sees data pertaining to lighfStories and other pieces of lighf you Float into the Waterfall and how you interact with lighf and the people in it.

2. Data pertaining to you lighfStories and other lighf content is collected for purposes of providing users with intelligent lighf recommendations, new features, and an improved lighf experience.

3. Your IP address or identifiable data are never stored or used o but if a user misuses lighf to harm others, lighf reserves the right to exert all options in identifying the misuser and resolve the issue, amicably, if possible.

To deliver lighf’s services requires lighf to, at times, encrypt and transfer anonymized (see lighf data to trusted data pavilions and globally-accessible infrastructure. These systems may be operated or managed by lighf Inc. or its trusted partners.

Anonymized Cookies
At times throughout your lighf, cookies may be used to enhance your lighf experience. Without cookies enabled for lighf, you may experience some turbulence. If so, please let us know through the light bulb icon on the bottom right hand side of any page.

JavaScript and Ad Blockers
lighf utilizes JavaScript to display elements throughout lighf service to provide a more dynamic user experience. If you do not have JavaScript turned on or are blocking ads, your lighf experience may not function as intended and is not optimized. Turn Javascript on and turn off any ad blockers (or make configuration exceptions for lighf) to enjoy lighf the way it was intended to be.

Limitations on Liability
lighf works tirelessly to provide value-adding experiences that are safe, secure and fun. However it takes not just lighf but also the collaborative effort of users and partners to keep lighf evolving in a positive direction. This requires everyone to agree to, and help enforce the guidelines set forth by the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein. If you see something, say something by sending lighf an SOS. While lighf can guarantee it will always work hard to ensure the best experience for everyone, at all times, certain guarantees cannot be made by lighf. This includes the idea that all user experiences in lighf will be issueless. (Life happens. “It’s how you bounce back that matters.”) When a potential issue is spotted, lighf will work quickly to fix and improve it. lighf (and its team members or supporters) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses because of (1) your ability or inability to access/use lighf, (2) the conduct, content, or media of other users or third parties on or through the lighf services (“Services”); or (3) unauthorized access, use or transposition of content. In no event will lighf unlimited, or its affiliates’ aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services (or lighf services) be more than the greater of 10,000 US pennies (or 100.00 USD) or the amount that you compensated lighf in the last 12 months for any fee-based Services.

As with everything that is born from this earth, lighf comes “As Is.”. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN ADDITION, WHILE lighf Inc. ATTEMPTS TO PROVIDE A GOOD USER EXPERIENCE, WE DO NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICES WILL ALWAYS BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR TIMELY; (B) THE SERVICES WILL ALWAYS FUNCTION WITHOUT DELAYS, DISRUPTIONS, OR IMPERFECTIONS; OR (C) THAT ANY CONTENT, USER CONTENT, OR INFORMATION YOU OBTAIN ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE TIMELY OR ACCURATE.

By agreeing to the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, you agree to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless lighf Inc., its team members, licensors, affiliates, directors, officers, stockholders, and agents from and against any and all complaints, claims, damages, charges, losses, liabilities, and expenses, e.g. legal/attorney fees, due to, arising out of, or relating in any way to your (1) ability to access/use the Services; (2) your content; and (3) your breach of these lighf Use Guidelines (or terms), herein.

Transfers of lighf Accounts
By agreeing to the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, you agree not to transfer any of your rights, obligations, or accounts under these Use Guidelines (or Terms) to anyone else without lighf’s consent. These Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, do not grant any third-party beneficiary rights. In connection with an acquisition, sale (or sale of resources), or merger, or by law or actions of law or alternatively everything stated in the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, is free to be assigned by lighf.

lighf Preservation and Enforcement. If any portion of these Use Guidelines (or Terms) is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect. If lighf fails to enforce an obligation, or exercise a right or remedy of the Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, it will not constitute a waiver. Any amendment to, or waiver of these Use Guidelines (or terms) must be made in writing. Furthermore, it must be agreed to expressly in writing by lighf.

Disagreements
lighf provides sensical guidelines to help steer users in the right direction at all times. If a disagreement happens to occur and in the unlikely case that a cause of action (or claim), or disagreement between you and lighf that results from or pertains to lighf’s Use Guidelines (or terms) or Services (“claim”), you agree that all related matters will be reviewed and resolved in the a state court located in New York, exclusively. You also agree to abide by the respective jurisdiction(s) of a New York State court to litigate any such cause of action (or arising claim) and that New York State’s statutes and laws will oversee and govern these Use Guidelines (or terms) and any cause of action (or arising claim), without regarding to conflict of law provisions.

Passing It On
The Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, provide guidelines for you and the rest of lighf to follow for a safe, secure and fun experience for everyone. If you find someone that seems to be unaware of certain lighf guidelines listed, herein, please direct them to this screen/page/URL so that they may educate themselves on proper use of lighf. If you become aware of any non-lighf behavior or misuse of lighf according to Use Guidelines (or terms), herein, please report it by sending an SOS with your concerns. What’s the point of being dishonest or hurtful to someone anyway? What ultimate purpose does it serve? We’re all human. All want the same things. All want love. No use for anything but pleasantries and genuineness here.
